A drop of rain falls from the sky,
A journey starts, it won’t be dry.
It’s swept away by wind and storm,
Carried along to a river warm.
The river flows, so calm and slow,
The raindrop joins, the pace now go.
Through twists and turns it finds its way,
Towards the ocean, a vast display.
The sea is vast, a sight to see,
A home for life, both big and wee.
The raindrop dives and joins the flow,
It’s headed back to where it’ll go.
With the heat of sun and water’s grace,
The raindrop rises, finding its place.
It joins the clouds up in the sky,
And slowly drifts, as if to fly.
The clouds grow heavy, so dark and grey,
The raindrop then resumes its way.
It falls to earth with such a force,
And starts its journey once more, of course.
The cycle repeats, as long as time,
The path of water, oh so divine.
From rain to river, to sea and back,
Each drop’s journey its own track.
