Faces on the street, fleeting glances of sorrow and pain,
Passing by like raindrops on a windowpane.
Who were they, where were they going,
Questions in my mind, endlessly flowing.
Faces of the young, old and weary,
Each a story, unique and teary.
Their eyes a window to their soul,
Lost in the crowd, their stories untold.
Did they find love or did it fade,
Were they happy or were they afraid?
Did their dreams come true or did they shatter,
Did they survive or did they merely scatter?
Faces on the street, I’ll never know,
Where they’ve been or where they’ll go.
But these fleeting moments leave a mark,
A reminder to be kind, and make a spark.
For the faces on the street, their story often ends,
But our human connection, that never bends.
