Caribbean
In a small old city by the sea,
Where the waves crash and the palm trees sway,
Lies a Caribbean island so full of history,
And a beauty that takes our breath away.
The colors of the houses are bright and bold,
In shades of pink, blue and yellow gold,
And the cobblestone streets wind and curve,
Through a maze of alleys with stories to be heard.
Here, the sun shines so warm and bright,
And the locals are always so polite,
With a warm smile and a friendly wave,
They welcome us to this island we crave.
The aroma of spices fills the air,
From the seafood cooking on the stove so fair,
And the music of the steel pan drum,
Entertains us as we stroll along.
From the ancient ruins, to the quaint little shops,
There’s so much to explore and never stop,
And if you’re lucky, you’ll catch a glimpse,
Of a sea turtle hatching on the sandy beach.
This small old city will steal your heart,
With a charm that will never depart,
And you’ll leave this island feeling so invigorated,
With a desire to come back and visit, rejuvenated.
