Posen

To make posing easier, there are a few little things that you can practice at home in front of the mirror.

1.Head

Watch where the light source is located.
Head toward the light.
Don’t turn your head away from the light, but toward the light.
Light from above looks natural,
Light from below looks unsightly.

2.Face

Just try holding different facial expressions with slight changes for 15 seconds each.

Try many with your eyes wide open.

If you can, don’t pull your eyebrows up.

Make sure that your gaze is slightly past the camera. If the angle between the camera and your gaze is too large, only the whites of your eyes will be visible in the picture.

Lips

Open your lips slightly. Avoid pressing them together. Even if you have to look serious. Millimeters are enough to make the picture look more interesting

3.Body

  • Stand up straight.
  • Head straight.
  • Chest out.
  • Form a hollow back.
  • Turn your hips in a little.
  • Put one foot forward.
  • wait 15 sec.

Turn slightly to the side. This makes you look slimmer than if you were completely frontal.

4. Arms

Do not press your arm completely against your body. This makes the upper arm look bigger. Always keep it in tension slightly away from the body. It’s only a matter of millimeters here, but it makes a lot of difference in the finished photo.

Especially for natural portraits, make sure that your elbow stays close to your chest. Otherwise, the arm and elbow will distract too much from the face.

5.Hands

Make sure that you do not hold your hand between the light source and your face. Otherwise, your hand will cast an unsightly shadow on your face.

Do not point palms toward the camera. Palms are too distracting. Be sure to turn your hand sideways.

Feets

When you are lying, sitting or even standing, watch your feet and stretch them out.
