14.13 Hijab and headscarf on Street

Many Muslim women wear a headscarf or veil. In the Koran itself there is no veil requirement, but the indication that women should not openly display their physical charms (Sura 24:31) and should therefore wear a cloak in public (Sura 33:56).
A headscarf is also an old piece of clothing in Europe.
